An opportunity for family, friends, colleagues and network to give koha (donation) and show ahora (love) and awhi (care and support).

Auckland

After results from an abnormal smear and scans a few weeks back, my Sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which was eventually determined to be stage 3 cervical cancer. My sister has been told that surgery isn’t an option and she’ll be going through 6weeks of intense radiation and chemotherapy. It’s hard to comprehend what the future will be like for my sister but we’re hopeful in trusting the process and being open to other treatments that are out there. These will be choice’s made by my sister and what she wants to do from here on.

We have put this page together to help raise further funds to ensure that Merania doesn’t have to worry about expenses or that her babies are being taken care of she’ll be able to focus on her well-being and her journey to fight this fight. We’re being positive and projecting all our good energy because i know my sister is the strongest!

Many people have asked us how they can help. This is a tangible way to assist her. Messages of support and any contribution, no matter how small, will be gratefully received.

Please have your medical checks as advised (e.g. smears, mammograms) and report any abnormalities to your doctor. You know your body best.

This page was created with merania’s input and full permission.

Use of funds

To cover additional costs associated with treatments and recovery (transport etc), to make life easier for Merania and her son Ven and her Daughter Kimberly during these trying times.
