Raising funds to provide urgently needed food, medicine and other basic necessities to victims of the floods.
Auckland
In late July and early August, northwest Myanmar was hit by torrential rain. The resulting floods have destroyed the homes and businesses of thousands in Kalay Township, where ADC's microfinance operations are based.
Floodwaters have receded, but in their aftermath assistance is needed in the form of food and other basics. ADC has witnessed the remarkable determination of people in this community to build a livelihood, but many have lost almost everything in the floods.
The staff of ADC's project partner, ZMF Bank, are well-placed to respond to these needs. All funds raised through this page will go directly to supporting those worst-affected, overseen by ZMF.
