ADC is a NZ-based charity supporting communities in Myanmar as they work their way out of poverty through microfinance.

Many people living in poor communities are industrious, resourceful and masters of their own destiny; they just need access to capital and a bit of support. Our core purpose is to provide both. Our clients are the marginalised business entrepreneurs of northwest Myanmar. They are usually women. They are the rickshaw drivers, the rice and tea makers, the tailors, the booksellers, the butchers, and the weavers of some of the poorest communities in the world. They continue to inspire us every single day.

Thank you for your generosity - we surpassed our target! 18 January 2021

We want to start 2021 by thanking those of you who generously donated to our Christmas appeal. You’ll be thrilled to know that we exceeded our target of $5,000!

By supporting ADC, you have given women like Aye Htoo the opportunity to lift herself, and her family, out of poverty. Through the provision of an ADC micro loan, she will be able to provide food, healthcare and education for her family.

Thanks to you, 25 people on our waiting list to receive an ADC micro loan of $200 will have the support they need to build their family businesses, take control of their economic destiny and change their own lives for good.
