Volunteering with Anti-Trafficking organisations in India, Greece and Cambodia from September this year until early 2019
Hawke's Bay
Help me fight a massive global injustice. Human Trafficking is modern day slavery. It's the fastest growing criminal industry in the world raking in more than $150 billion USD every year. There are millions of slaves in the world today and only 1% of victims are rescued.
Freeset Business Incubator // Sept 2017
This is a three week Freedom Encounter (course/short term mission) where I will be confronted about the need of the girls in the red light district of Kolkata and West Bengal. I will meet and talk with people currently working in Freedom Businesses in Kolkata. I will hear stories of what actually happens in the red-light areas and how people end up trapped in sexual exploitation. This will give me the time and space to reflect on why all this is important from a theological perspective.

A21 in Greece // Oct-Dec 2017
In Thessaloniki I will be interning with A21, and organisation founded by Christine Caine. Most of my time will be spent in the A21 offices, helping run the agency in the background and seeing what it takes on an administrative side. Some of my time here will also hopefully be spent journeying with survivors of Human Trafficking and former refugees.

March 2018 - March 2020
Interning with The Hard Places Community in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Mostly focused around at-risk, vulnerable children, spending time ministering to people in the red-light district in Phnom Penh, and running children's programmes.
My travels to various organisations who work on the front lines of the anti-trafficking movement. This involves staying in the areas the organisations are working in and volunteering for them - being of assistance to them in any way I can.
Tēnā koe! 3 August 2017
I have been absolutely overwhelmed with the response I've had on my givealittle, through other monetary donations, and through the amount of positive feedback I've had for what I'm heading away to do.
I have no idea how to thank you all enough for the massive amounts of support I have been receiving. It's really easy with something like fundraising to feel discouraged but I have been incredibly encouraged by the words of the wise people around me. I'm a words of affirmation lady so like I say I can't thank you all enough <3

What's next? I fly out of the country in a month to India. In the mean time I continue to work full time, save what I can and I'm running various fundraising events.
Tomorrow night, Friday 4th August, is Zeal Acoustic Sessions. Held in Connections Cafe in Pirimai, we will have young musicians from Hawkes Bay playing and coffee and baking for sale. This has a $5 door entry
Next Sunday night, 13th August, we are screening Nefarious: Merchant of Souls at Pirimai Baptist Church. This is a documentary which exposes the global sex-industry and how trafficking is combatted in red-light districts around the world. 5pm is BYO dinner and we will eat as a community and then 6pm the movie will be screened. $10 door entry for this event.
I hope that if you're based in Hawkes Bay you'll come along to one or both of these events :) Again, I just can't thank my friends and family enough who have played a part in supporting my vision. I pray you will all be blessed abundantly.
Much love x
