Nail technician is struggling to update my new business to keep up with demand and trends

My name is Deb, a qualified nail technician since 2009. I finally got a spot in a salon after 7 years to trying. I make a small income less than a part time wage, though I work at the salon full time. I started a few months ago and desperately needs to keep up with the new techniques and technologies and to go full time to get off the job-seekers. Alas, the cost is too great.
Due to being self-employed, it costs a lot to run a nail salon so up-skilling is near impossible.
I also wishes to expand into eyebrows and eyelashes as demand is high, but doing so is also out of reach.
