Fundraising for money and baby clothes donations to send to Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Nationwide
Hi there, my name is Jennifer, and I'm setting up this page as I want to help a good friend of mine.
Charlene volunteers in Namibia, at her local orphanage and also in the maternity ward of the local public hospital.
Namibia is a third world country. The majority of the people here are living in extreme poverty.
Some mothers are so poor that they face the heart wrenching reality of not being able to care for their newborn babies, so many babies are left behind at the hospital.
Babies needs are simple, they need clothes, they need food, they need love. They need to live.
The mums have got the love, they need us to help with the clothes and the food and the chance at life.
I'm hoping that with your help we'll be able to make a significant difference in at least some of these woman's and children's lives.
I'm currently putting a shipment of baby / toddler clothes together to send to her (aiming to send the first lot by mid March 2016). She will then use the clothes and the money to make up care packages to distribute to these new mums in an attempt to give them a little hope.
If you have any baby / toddler clothing that you would like to donate to this cause please let me know on jennifer.moulder@gmail.com and I'll gladly make arrangements to get them from you.
If you have some spare cash you would like to donate towards this cause then know this: The current exchange rate is NZD1 = 10 Namibian dollars!!! So $5 will go a looooong way!
I'll cover all money transfer and shipping costs (unless you have a contact you would like to share with me) so you can be sure that 100% of your donation will make it to Namibia.
Thank you ever so much for considering to support this very worthy cause.
Jennifer
I'm involved because I've spent 10 months last year in Namibia and have seen first hand the incredible need there is.
