Urgent Appeal: Help Natasha's spinal injury
Natasha is a 48-year-old former early childhood teacher whose life has changed overnight. Since October, she has suffered a rapid and terrifying physical decline. What began as a slight limp has escalated into near-total paralysis; she is now unable to walk, struggles to feed herself, and cannot even hold her head up without help.
The Crisis
Doctors have diagnosed Natasha with Severe Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy. Her spinal cord is being severely compressed at multiple levels, and her spine is essentially collapsing. She scored a 6 on the JOA functional scale—a critically low result indicating a "severe presentation" of the disease.
The Path Forward
Natasha requires urgent, high-risk surgery to decompress her spine. Without it, the loss of function will be permanent. This procedure is a massive undertaking with significant risks, but it is her only hope.
How You Can Help
Natasha faces a grueling recovery after surgery which is covered by the government but will need intensive rehabilitation, specialized mobility equipment, and full-time care. We are seeking donations to cover the mounting costs for her recovery and the long road to regaining her independence. Please help us give this dedicated mother a chance to stand on her own again.
