Needing a Lifeline for Mr Whiskers the Cat

Hello It is with great hope & sadness that I write this plea today. I am a 45 yr old Animal rescuer, advocate and Vegan for Animals who, for the last 6 years has been nightly feeding, trapping & desexing, fostering and rehoming the dumped, abandoned and wild street cat/kittens found in Colonies within the Onehunga and Otahuhu areas of Auckland.

I have 5 Cats of my own, all rescues.

My oldest & most beloved Cat named Mr Whiskers was recently at the Vets due to a suspected UTI Further tests found that he was negative for a UTI but still had Cystitis (an inflammation of the Bladder) from some other cause. Although I had Mr Whiskers fully insured, my insurers declined my claim stating this was a pre-existing condition. Although he had a UTI 5 years prior with no issues in between and despite my disputing this decision as unfair and unrelated, it was still declined. So I borrowed the funds i needed to complete further urine tests to eliminate any infection but this came back negative.

The Vet states he now needs an urgent Ultrasound ($700) to find the source of his problem and then Surgery est. ($3k - 5k) to follow.

With no insurance now to cover this, I am left with little options

So I am pleading for help from one Animal lover to hopefully thousands.

I have spent years saving hundreds of Cats/Kittens & it breaks my heart that I cannot afford to now save my own Cat

His life is at risk If I cant find the funds for his medical treatment

Please help me to save Mr Whiskers
