Please support my endeavours to make a life changing impact for the families in this Nepalese village forgotten by the world post earthquake
International
In November, I am off to a mountain village in Runga, Nepal that was decimated in the 2015 earthquake. My trip is part humanitarian aid, part leadership development and part adventure. It’s an opportunity for me to make a meaningful difference in a very different way...
I will join a small group of other business leaders from different parts of the world approximately 250km east of Kathmandu. Our mission is being led by Linda Cruise who has 20+ years of experience working on the frontline in disaster zones such as after Asian tsunami & the Pakistani earthquake.
Our goal is to help the community in Runga develop sustainable & economically viable solutions through a hand up rather than a hand out approach.
I am now fundraising so that while I am there I am able to invest in these sustainable solutions.
The solutions we develop will be determined by the challenges faced by the community, the current resources and skill set.
100% of my fundraising will go to the community projects - I am covering all the costs associated with my travel.

An investment of as little as $50NZD can help a family develop a sustainable income for a lifetime (e.g. through orcharding, agriculture or candle making) and $300NZD can be enough to set up a health clinic in a village.
Thank you! 20 September 2019
Thank you so much for the encouragement, kind words and donations. I have been quite blown away by the support and generosity, and am very grateful for the amazing network of friends, famly and colleagues I have in my life! I look forward to sharing details of what we do to uplift this community but for now just wanted to say a massive thanks!
I am still fundraising and have some colleagues at work this week helping with a 'village lunch', and I have made my fundraising ambition 'open-ended' (i.e. not a set limit). Thanks again - Kate x
