Neptune Dolphins are a proud group of children having a lot of fun while learning many skills which can help them through their life.

I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Maureen Mauger, I am the Treasurer for TS Nimrod Port Chalmers Sea Cadets, after learning & spending some time with the Unit I decided a year ago to start up a small division for children aged 9-12 yr olds and we thought it would be suited to call them the Neptune Dolphins. We are a very proud group of 14 children. Dolphins learn respect for themselves, their peers and their elders. We do a lot of outdoor activities, water safety, rope work, History & Environment lessons and play awesome team building games. Once the children become 13 yrs old if they wish they can moved on to TS Nimrod Sea Cadets when their real adventure begins.

I am the Instructor and Manage Neptune Dolphins. For the past year I have financially covered some of the expenses myself. This group means so much to me and the rewards are amazing seeing how happy the children are.
Use of funds
Funds raised are to be used for trips & camps to Quarantine Island, Orokonui Eco sanctuary, Discovery World, and hopefully a trip on the Monarch. We will also be promoting our group through out NZ.
