Raising money to buy materials and make new cages for our cat shelter. Old ones have broken
Wellington
Our accomodation cages that were used to both isolate and house the cats and kittens that come to our shelter have fallen apart, literally, when we moved them for cleaning rooms.
We desperately need lovely new cages especially with kitten season round the corner. Currently we will not have enough accomodation to house the pregnant cats, growing kittens, strays and surrenders that we expect to arrive soon.
For ongoing health and shelter of our cats we would love to update and replace all of the cage apartments in our three rooms. Materials are expensive and cages need to be made. We operate 100 per cent off generosity and kindness of others.
All our cats and kittens are desexed, vaccinated and wormed before being rehomed. We have a strict no kill policy and will hold an animal forever if necessary.
We will buy materials and have cages made suitable for isolation of sick cats and kittens, plus accomodation cages as rescued cats prepare for adoption.
update 3 November 2019
We have found the cheapest of the fibreglass cages is just under $5000 so goal altered to meet cost of one cage that would house three cats or three mum and kitten families.
