New Chainsaw for Firewood Fundraiser

A big part of our Work Experience Wednesday sessions are working in the forestry preparing trees for our Firewood Fundraising Project each year, this provides genuine work experience for young people as well as a funding stream for Moral Compass.

We are extremely grateful to be offered a new larger chainsaw for Razor and the team to use at a discounted rate from Stihl Rolleston, but we need extra funds to purchase the chainsaw! Purchasing this chainsaw will both speed up the work, as well as make it easier for the mentors to use than the current ones that we have that were donated to the project 2 years ago, and are getting a little old and needing more and more repairs done to them!

Each chainsaw will cost around $2600, if we are able to fundraise more we can look at purchasing a second chainsaw to make the project even more efficient!

Thank you for your support for this project

Razor and the team!
