New Premises for Great South Dance Academy

Great South Dance Academy (GSDA) is a community facility where all are welcome to come and enjoy our classes.

We offer dance and movement classes are offered from 2 to 102 years of age.

GSDA is moving to larger premises. We have secured a wonderful new location which allows for a fantastic new community facility.

The new site boasts ample room for students and their families in the waiting areas.

With two large studios and one medium sized studio all users can dance, sing, act, play and grow to their hearts content.

The upstairs cafe, Tea 'n' Tutus, is available for students and families to enjoy a drink and snack pre and post class.

The retail shop is the first dance wear shop in South Auckland for some time. Currently the southern most dance wear store in Auckland is in Remuera so this is a major win for the south and east dance studios.

The new costume department offers community, school, dramatic groups and more to hire affordable costumes for their performances and events. This is the first of its kind in many years in South Auckland.

The whole facility has been purpose built, air conditioned, painted and decorated to ensure this fantastic new facility is serving the community in the best possible way however, we need some help with the final touches.

We are looking for assistance in funding for the following areas of the facility. These are the items that we are needing to source -

Retail store - Shelving, clothes racks, till, couch, table, curtains

Studios - Mirrors, wood for floor, varnish, screws and other associated items, tool hire, foam for sprung floor, speakers, skirting boards, tables

Reception area - seating for those waiting, TV's so families can watch what is happening in studio

Cafe - Tables and chairs, Till, counter, fridge,
