New roof to stop the leaking which is affecting the electrics in the house, and her daughters health.
Waikato
Katrina's doing her best every day for her family, just like you. A solo mum with two children, she works part time and also studies, often late into the night. She's one of those amazing people who always finds the time to help, whether it's with friends' children, or giving accounting advice.
A few years ago, she finally saved enough to buy a home - a proper Kiwi old fashioned 65 year old home with, it turns out, the original roof. That's where this hopeful story turns sour. The original metal roof is, quite literally, falling apart. The water coming in is dangerous for the house electrics, shorting circuits, and worse, it's affecting her daughter's health. Her daughter has the autoimmune disorder, which affects her ability to recover from infection - one of the reasons that Katrina can't work full time right now.
Katrina needs $20,000 to fix her roof but no matter how she budgets, she can never save quite enough. Can you help this hard working Mum? Please give a little today to help this Kiwi family keep warm, dry and healthy. Thank you.
To go towards a new roof. The goal is to add to my savings not to get the whole roof amount, but any extra will go to my other daughter's learning difficulty tutoring.
