Next Item on the 'Agender'

I met Morgan twelve years ago, before they were called Morgan, and we've been together for nearly ten years. They proposed to me and there were no reasons at all to decline. They've supported me through everything that's happened since we've been together and I'd like to do the same for them.

When Morgan came out as non-binary, we talked about what they might like to do to really feel like their body belonged to them, and Gender Confirmation Surgery (GCS) was part of the list. Over the years, it's become something that we've both decided needs to happen. While I've never felt the dysphoria myself, seeing the anguish it's caused for Morgan has been difficult too. At first, we thought that it would necessitate going overseas, but then it became much more feasible to get the surgery done here in New Zealand.

Sadly, the waiting list for getting the operation done means it would be at least 2030 before anything could happen, and the current global health crisis means that there's a waiting list to even get onto the waiting list. So we're back to square one, and it seems impossible to wait just as long again for what Morgan needs to be happier as themself.

That's where you (hopefully) come in. We're raising money to help Morgan's GCS happen while there's still a clear path to it. It's hard to overstate just how much your support would mean to Morgan and myself, and just as important as the donations is knowing that there are others out there who want Morgan to be happy as much as I do.
