    Hello again, folks!

It's been a little while since we last spoke, but I've got great news to share with you all - we're so close to meeting our goal for this campaign.

Our target was always a very rough estimate, based on what we thought was achievable within our timeframe and what we thought might be a reasonable amount to at least get started, but it's been so successful we can now begin making appointments and proceeding with everything that we need to do.

Not only that, but the speed with which so many of you have donated makes it that much easier to get ahead of the curve. Any surgery involves a lot of personal preparation, and we count ourselves as very lucky to have your support so that we can hit the ground running.

Now, with the finish line in sight, we have a special announcement. One very kind supporter has offered to match any donations we receive before the 16th of July, up to a maximum of $1,000. I thought these offers only happened during Telethons in the 80s, but here we are, and it's happening for us. Every dollar you donate in those three weeks will be like donating two!

I thought I didn't have any more embarrassing photos of myself to reward you all for your generosity, but social media delivers once again!

Firstly, thank you all so, so, so much for your contributions! Morgan and I spent the first few days alternating between giddy yelling and stunned near-crying over just how much you've been willing to put towards our cause.

Since starting this campaign, we've heard from so many of you - including people who have never met Morgan before - who wanted to know what they could do to help. People in the medical community; people in the queer and trans communities; everyone has gone above and beyond to show how much they care.

We certainly weren't expecting to be this close to our goal after only ten days, either! The 10k mark was, we thought, feasible in the six months of campaigning, but... well. Wow. You all rock.

So what's in store soon? Well, Morgan has planned an appointment with a New Zealand specialist and has started preparing to get things underway as soon as the specialist gives the green light. We've made greater steps in the last week, thanks to your support, than we've been able to do in the three years before that.

And for all you fine folk? We'd love to talk about everything that's going on, over coffee, like we promised. More updates soon!

(And because Morgan has no embarrassing photos, it falls to me to upload one. Dressed as Puck for my high school Shakespeare Day - I was so cool as a teenager.)
