Together, We Rescue: Building a better tomorrow for street dogs. Our Mission: Alleviate the suffering of Bali’s street dogs.

Hamilton, Waikato

In the July school holidays, I (Kaia) will be travelling to Bali to volunteer at local dog shelters. As part of this personal project, I aim to raise funds & awareness for their street dog community. I will also be working alongside students from RSHS (Ayla, Ekroop, & Taylor) to support this project.

Nia Nia Dog Rescue is a family-owned Bali street dog sanctuary. Today, the haven shelters over 130 dogs, and Sania & her team of 3 manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the well-being of the furry residents.

Nia Nia Dog Rescue stands at the forefront of addressing challenges faced by Bali’s street dogs. From bone breaks to flesh wounds, illnesses, & ticks, worms, & fleas, their dedicated team is on the ground, providing essential care. Additionally, they prioritise comprehensive medical interventions, including vaccinations & sterilisations. This ensures that every rescue, regardless of their condition, receives the necessary care to lead healthier & happier lives.

Their Sterilisation Program is a cornerstone in maintaining a balanced street dog population in Bali. They not only conduct sterilisations for the dogs under their care, but also extend this vital service to street dogs beyond the sanctuary. Your support empowers Nia Nia Dog Rescue to tackle the challenges of uncontrolled breeding, ensuring a healthier & more sustainable environment for Bali’s street dogs.

Join us for a better tomorrow. Together, let’s make a lasting impact on lives in need 🐶

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
