Help nibbles get his tail amputation
Auckland
I am writing this with a tear in my eyes and filled with uncertainty regards my kitty’s future.
To set the story and explain what happened to him and where we are now…
Around six weeks ago I woke up like it was normal day, said hello to my other boys and found nibbles on the couch, acting … odd he wouldn’t move, had a large swelling around his bum area and wasn’t moving his tail at all.
First thing I did was call the vets knowing that if things were too expensive I would have to put my boy down and leave his twin brother all alone in the world a bonded pair, nibbles and dribbles.
When I got the vet they gave me some bad news he wasn’t able to lift his tail or have any feeling from it, with bladder retention and unable defecate, I thought this is it, he’s 5 almost six years old – we are going to have to say goodbye.
I went back to the vet after him not peeing all night that night to see if he could go on his own, I had to learn to express his bladder by hand, miraculously he started peeing and pooping on his own and that’s when I realized theres hope for this poor boy.
Moving to today, he needs a full amputation whoch i have been given a quote of below.
