Nicola's cancer treatment
Raising money for unfunded cancer treatment that might help keep me around a little longer.

I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I can't give up the fight, but the next treatments aren't funded.
In New Zealand, Lonsurf (trifluridine/tipiracil) combined with bevacizumab (Avastin or Vegzelma) for colorectal cancer is generally unfunded. Patients typically pay between $40,000 and $60,000 NZD out-of-pocket for a full standard course of treatment, including the medication, private clinic dispensing, and administration fees.
I'm hoping that this treatment will give me a better quality of life for longer than without any treatment.
Use of funds
My oncologist has said that there are three possibilities for drugs that could help extend my life. They are unfunded in New Zealand. I'm hoping to put together enough to try a few rounds, but one is better than none. All fund raised will go towards unfunded cancer treatment.

I want to thank everyone so much that have donated towards my treatment. I've tried to start replying individually and the tears have made it so hard to start to type. I have received an email for each donation. And each one has started a flurry of tears, it's definitely been an emotional week! I just want you to know that each donation means that you have given me the possibility of extra time to make more memories with my friends and family, and the possibility of less pain and symptoms for longer. It means so much to me that you have all contributed to this for me.
