Nim was attacked by 2 dogs on Tuesday the 6th on our front lawn, without even hesitating I ran to his defence and helped stop the attack. Nim has sustained multiple bites and has lost his claws in the process of defending Himself. After being x rayed it was discovered that he has also been shot with a BB gun and has a bullet lodged in his right leg. The vet bill is currently $974.50.
While his main visit has been paid for he’s has ongoing vet costs. He will need a hernia surgery once he has recovered fully form the dog attack.
Vet bills, left overs will be donated to low income families to assist them in desexing/microchip ping and registering their dogs.
Update on nim 5 November 2020
Hey team! The bill for Nim's treatment totaled $3700, which was generously paid by the owner of the For The Love Of Animals op shop. Nim has been cleared to recover at home and is doing well. He still has a non life threatening hernia that needs surgery to repair and this will go ahead once he has recovered more from the incident, he is still on antibiotics for the bite marks as they are still open. The cost of the surgery is estimated at $913.50. Any left over funds will be offered in vouchers for desexing local dogs.
