Help our 37yo mate Simon fight an aggressive, rare cancer with a prognosis of 6-12 months, with costly non-gov funded alterative therapies.
Auckland
Nearly 2yrs ago, at 35 our incredible, clever, generous, loving mate Simon was diagnosed with a rare & aggressive cancer, Ampullary adenocarcinoma with a pancreatic subtype, which typically affects people over 70! Simon underwent a complex & risky surgery (Whipple procedure) & intense recovery period. When he felt physically able, he stepped back from being a Commercial Beekeeper & Hobbyist Farmer, headed out on his outlandish adventures & spent 7 months meeting fantastic humans & pretending to be a hunter gatherer on the West Coast of NZ with his partner Sarah.
Towards the end of his trip & upon returning home, our mate Simon started to feel low in energy, having constant abdominal pain, slept poorly, & appetite/weight loss. He reached out to have an overdue scan, & the results are not what we hoped for. His oncologist has suggested a prognosis of 6-12months. While there’s no conventional cure available, he is stubborn & determined to see if he can be one of those anecdotes on the internet who is climbing mountains again 12 years on, hanging out with his amazing friends & family despite the diagnosis, & if not, at least be able to be comfortable without all the issues that long term opioids cause.
These therapies—including high-dose CBD & FECO protocol, mistletoe injections, intravenous vitamin C, ozone therapy, & hyperbaric oxygen therapy—whilst optimistically effective, are not funded & extremely costly. Hence, asking for help.
You are helping one of the greats. Love you xo
My best mate, my brother, one of the greatest humans to walk the earth.
Conservatively, a years worth of alternative treatments; High-dose CBD & FECO protocol, Mistletoe injections, Intravenous Vitamin C, Ozone Therapy, & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Enabling Simon to beat the odds, or at least live comfortably without opioids.
