In 2015, after 30 years of the epidemic, people living with HIV still face stigma and discrimination in New Zealand. Hear their experiences as they share their stories – and support them by sharing the ‘More than HIV’ campaign with your friends, family and co-workers.
The New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) and Borderless Productions have teamed up to capture stories told by people living with HIV.
To complete this project, we need your support.
Stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV is a significant and persistent barrier in preventing HIV. Our ‘More than HIV’ campaign is an effort to reduce stigma and discrimination through education and raising awareness of attitudes that need to change.
Fighting the injustice of HIV-related stigma and discrimination is important work but it is not covered by existing funding. We need to raise $15,000 to cover the costs of editing and producing the videos.
Your support will allow us to get these videos in front of thousands of Kiwis and help change perceptions and attitudes toward HIV.
At the start of the campaign in 2014, people living with HIV gave their voice to the campaign and through their courage and honesty, a valuable resource was born.
Your support and donations will help us continue this work and make it better.
We're the organisation trusted with managing HIV and AIDS in New Zealand. Part of that is advocating for the eradication of stigma, prejudice and isolation experienced by people living with HIV, their whānau and families. We do this by addressing attitudes which create and perpetuate inequality.
New Zealand AIDS Foundation has a vision of a world without HIV and AIDS. We aim to achieve this through our mission of preventing the transmission of HIV and providing support for people living with HIV, their partners and whānau.
