Send No. 8 Wire on the Mongol Rally!

$419 of $30,000 goal
Given by 6 generous donors in one year

No. 8 Wire are aiming to take on the Mongol Rally 2016. Please see our website for details of our sponsorship packages.

Nationwide

To get our team of three from little ol' Invercargill to the bright lights of London, pick us up a suitably unsuitable car to drive 17,000km and cross through dozens of countries to the finish line in Russia, we're looking for sponsorship of NZ$30,000.

But we're not just asking for donations (although those will be gratefully accepted as well) - we have advertising space available on our rally car, a similar promo car we'll be driving around in our daily lives in Invercargill, our team t-shirts, our website, our charity fundraising events and in any media contact we might be able to swing between here and the finish line (and the rally is covered by international news outlets such as the BBC, National Geographic and the Huffington Post, so there's a good chance we'll find someone to talk to).

Have a look at our website to see where your advertising budget could take you in 2016.

Any of our team funds left over at the end of the rally will also be distributed to our charities.

Estimated Team Costs:

Flights $9,000

Registration fees $3,250

Car (including travel documents) $3,750

Visas $2,400

Insurance (travel and vehicle) $2,500

On road costs (e.g. food, accommodation) $4,500

Spare parts, repairs and petrol $4,500

Total $29,900

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
