no BS well-being for guys - dealing with head space issues

Guys don’t always get the support they need so here is a different way of providing resources

Auckland

Life is like a construction site – full of hazards and risks that need to be eliminated or minimised through controls so you can get the job done. PPE is seen as a pain in the ass but a necessity for safety. This is a series of 2 minute Toolbox Talks with PPE for your mind – so you can navigate through your life to the best of your ability.

I’ve got a couple of mates and they’re both dealing with a lot of shit in their heads that they just don’t have the resources or support available to assist them with. All they have is themselves and their mates. Which sometimes isn’t enough.

This isn’t about turning men into girls. Its about guys understanding what's going on in their heads and why. Then if they want to change some things there are some tools to do this plus further resources to go to so they have some hope for the future.

Pretty much if your life is shit, it’s quite likely the way you’re dealing with things isn’t working. That’s not your fault; its highly likely you haven’t been taught how to deal with shit. And if it’s so bad then why not try something different? A lot of the info on here may be pushing you out of your comfort zone. But if the alternative is ending up dead, why not try something different? It might save your life.

A lot of the info on here relates back to depression, anxiety and stress so don’t be surprised to see it pop up constantly.

So this is a way to hopefully get guys to help out their mates if they think something is a bit wrong. And they could get the info they need too.

We guys can deny it but we don't handle our headspace well often. My bright gifted mate ended his life a year ago and had reached out in a number of ways, this wasn't an option. Good self help is nearly here!
