Please support Norm's fight for life.
Kerikeri, Northland
Norm's plans & dreams for the future were shattered on the 8th OCT this year after being diagnosed with an incurable rare type 2 papillary renal cancer that has spread to his lungs & lymph nodes.
Although no cure, treatments are available to try and slow the cancer's progression to give Norm and his family as much precious time together making more family memories.
Norm's treatments are not funded, so we need to raise as much money as possible to help cover this cost, Norm will be on the Pembrolizumab IV treatment (Immunotherapy) that has 16 x infusions every 3 weeks along with a daily oral drug called Lenvatinib,
Norm starts his treatment on 23rd October as time is of the essence to allow more time with his family. Norm has been married to his best friend, Ann, for over 30 years, and they have 4 amazing children, Cameron, Gabrielle, Rhys & 11 year old Isabella. The family have lived here in Kerikeri for over 17 years , and have loved being involved in the wider community.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love, compassion and support as they face the difficult road ahead, and we will keep you all updated on Norm's progress.
If you know Norm & Ann, you will know that asking for help doesn't come easily to them.
A donation, or by simply sharing this page, will make a real difference in helping the family cover Norm's treatment costs and focus on what matters most - Norm's quality of life.
We met the Lambers family over 17 years ago on our arrival in Kerikeri and have enjoyed many moments together, watching the family grow, including the arrival of baby Isabella.
The funds will be used for unfunded Lenvatinib and Pembrolizumab IV treatments and to slow down the progression and extend his life for as long as possible.
Norm's pushing on well but with bad side effects 27 November 2025
Norms last infusion went well, good blood test results and the lymph nodes in his neck had significantly reduced❤️
We are struggling though with getting his blood pressure under control causing dreadful migraines, new medication starting today🤞
He has a CT scan next week on Tuesday and the next infusion on Thursday
Thank you all for donating & helping us share this page it's so much appreciated by the Family xx Tracey
