Help us reopen the Fossil Centre and bring hands-on science back to the community.
The centre has now been closed for a year, but when it was open, more than 3,000 people came through the doors in just six months. Families, school groups, locals and visitors all came to see, touch and learn from real fossils, crystals and rocks, many of them from our local area.
The new Fossil Centre will be an interactive space where people can get up close to natural history, not just look at it behind glass. Visitors will be able to handle fossils, use microscopes to examine tiny details, explore crystals and rocks, and see minerals glow under UV light. It will be a place to explore, ask questions, and be curious.
To make this possible, we need help covering the rent for the new premises while the centre gets back on its feet. Your support will help secure a space where children can be inspired, families can learn together, and our region’s fossil heritage can be shared with the public again.
Every donation, big or small, helps bring the Fossil Centre back to life. Thank you for supporting local science, education and discovery.
The $9000 dollar target will cover 6 months rent.
We want to cover a year's rent with this fundraiser. We cover the staffing, provide the fossils and rocks, and set up the exhibits and interactive displays.
