LEGAL APPEAL STOP SEABED MINING OFF PATEA
Ngati Ruanui are in the process of legal appeal to stop seabed mining off the coast of Patea.
This Givealittle page has been set up in response to the overwhelming request from individuals and organisations wanting to contribute to the legal appeal of the decision of The Environmental Protection Authority to grant an application from Trans Tasman Resources to mine iron-ore off the coast of Patea.

Ngati Ruanui are legally appealing the decision of the Environmental Protection Authority to stop Trans Tasman Resources ironsand mining application off the coast of Patea. Ngati Ruanui submitted against this application in October 2016.

Funds donated will be used to offset costs of the legal appeal process being undertaken by Ngati Ruanui.

Today is day 3 of 4 at High Court in Wellington to appeal the decision of the Environmental Protection Authority to grant an application from Trans Tasmam Resources to mine iron-ore off tye coast of Patea . This page has been reopened in response to people wanting to donate to the appeal costs.
