Nuk is Riding for Renee over 588kms to get her life changing surgery
Christchurch, Canterbury
$70,000 raised so far with $20,000 left to raise so we are on the road again Riding For Renee for her specialised jaw surgery that is bewilderingly not covered under the Public Health System.
All funds raised contribute towards Medical expenses for Renee's operation for a total Temporomandibular joint reconstruction, bilateral jaw joint replacements.
Nuk cycled Rapaki to Bluff, and will now ride Rapaki to Picton over 580 kms through demanding terrain departing Saturday 1 October from Rapaki to Waikari - Hamner Springs to Springs Junction on to Murchison, Wakefield to Havelock North, to Picton.
Thank you to so many who have already donated & if you have you may like to refer a friend or company. If you can’t financially your words of support for Renee are gold.
Only in her 20’s, Renee has lived over 10 years with chronic daily pain. It is difficult for Renee to sleep, eat, she experiences constant severe migraines & sees life through a fog of pain and discomfort.
The Korako whanau cover all expenses for the bike rides including support vehicle so 100% of every $ raised is for Renee’s surgery fund.
It is Renee’s dream to live a normal life and do things other young women are doing at her age, get her degree & most of all live pain-free. Your donation to this young woman to live a pain free, normal life is appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Medical expenses for Renee to have an operation for a total Temporomandibular joint reconstruction, bilateral jaw joint replacements. This is very specialised jaw surgery and unfortunately not covered under the Public Health System.
We have reached our Surgery Goal 13 November 2022
Kia ora koutou
We are so excited to tell you that with your support we have reached our goal of $90,000 for Renee’s life changing surgery. We will keep the page open for a while longer as a little extra will help with Renee’s recovery.
Nuk has cycled well over $1,000 kms, whanau & friends have fundraised and so many have given. Our hearts were full when a donation of $2 was received right up to a donation of $10,000 as equally all donations were given with aroha (love) from people who care deeply for the well-being of others. For those not in a position to donate money their messages absolutely inspired us & Renee. Thank you all 💗
It will take a little while to get Renee on the specialist’s surgery list but we will keep you posted. There are only 2 surgeons in New Zealand who perform this operation.
From Renee, “I send to you all my Aroha, I am finding it hard to express just how grateful I am for your support, your words of encouragement and your donations. I can now look to the future. Thank you. Renee x”
Some time soon we will need to close this Givealittle page so please follow us on Facebook to https://www.facebook.com/RidingForRenee so that we can keep you up to date on Renee’s surgery. There is also a video of the rides on that fb page.
You are all amazing
Thank you
