We are so excited to tell you that with your support we have reached our goal of $90,000 for Renee’s life changing surgery. We will keep the page open for a while longer as a little extra will help with Renee’s recovery.

Nuk has cycled well over $1,000 kms, whanau & friends have fundraised and so many have given. Our hearts were full when a donation of $2 was received right up to a donation of $10,000 as equally all donations were given with aroha (love) from people who care deeply for the well-being of others. For those not in a position to donate money their messages absolutely inspired us & Renee. Thank you all 💗

It will take a little while to get Renee on the specialist’s surgery list but we will keep you posted. There are only 2 surgeons in New Zealand who perform this operation.

From Renee, “I send to you all my Aroha, I am finding it hard to express just how grateful I am for your support, your words of encouragement and your donations. I can now look to the future. Thank you. Renee x”

Some time soon we will need to close this Givealittle page so please follow us on Facebook to https://www.facebook.com/RidingForRenee so that we can keep you up to date on Renee’s surgery. There is also a video of the rides on that fb page.

    You are all amazing

    Thank you

    Christine Korako x

  • Nuk is Riding For Renee & half way to Picton

We are so thankful for everyone’s well wishes for Renee and for Nuk’s cycle to Picton. We only have $15,400 left to raise from the $90,000 surgery cost not covered by public health. Renee’s jaw continues to deteriorate and we are hopeful to raise the balance so that she can ‘Book It’...book her surgery. Nuk set off 1 October from Rapaki, Banks Peninsula and cycled 154 kms that day to Hanmer Springs, a huge effort. Yesterday 95kms to Springs Junction and today Nuk has arrived Murchison safe and sound, ready for another cycle tomorrow.

If you would like to follow this journey please go to https://facebook.com/RidingForRenee

Thanks again, we can make this surgery a reality.
