Experienced Wellington district nurses providing health care and education in rural and remote areas of Nepal.
Wellington
We are 2 experienced registered nurse who are currently working as district nurses in Wellington. We are looking to share our nursing skills with communities in Nepal. We are planning on spending a month in Nepal through the International Volunteering Organisation where we will provide free nursing care, hold community clinics and provide wound care to those who need it.
While we are very aware that our own country has been suffering with earthquakes, we think that spending time in Nepal as a good way to enhance our skills and use basic care when no technology is available.
We are looking to cover the cost of our airfares and accommodation whilst in Nepal. We will be donating our time and annual leave and are traveling in November 2017.
Any money that is over from what we require will be donated to the New Zealand Red Cross.
Thank you for reading this. Any donations are gratefully received, however small.
