NZ Singing School 2019 - Help Esther get there!!

Hi there! My name is Esther and, as some of you may know, my exciting news at the moment is that I've been accepted into the NZ Singing School Te Wananga Toi Waiata for 2019!! I've been encouraged to start a give-a-little campaign to help raise the rest of the costs.

As some of you may know, my involvement in the arts has spanned a range of different areas including dance, drama, speech and musical theatre since I was very young. After stepping away for a few years I have now come round circle, having discovered how much I love and miss it! Some things just seem to reel you back in no matter how far you get away!

The game plan now is to increase my technical skills and get some more training under my belt so that more doors can be opened to me and I can discover more of what is in store for me. I also wanted to personally challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone, and add something to my arts portfolio which I have not studied as much of. Hence I auditioned for the NZ Singing School and praise be to God, here we are!

For 12days I'll have the privilege of attending masterclasses and individual tutoring sessions from world-class teachers and performers, as well as practising performing alongside my fellow attendees off and onstage. I will be a student of the Musical Theatre Course at the school which, alongside the singing tutoring, will involve alot of learning in character development as well as language. Another benefit is coming home to Dunedin with a whole new set of skills to pass onto my students at EsSD School of Speech and Drama.

I have been hitting the fundraising activities hard with more to come (check out my Instagram page), and thanks to a successful garage sale and a couplands bakeries fundraiser I have raised enough to pay my first instalment. I still, however, have a wee ways to go to fund the remainder of my attendance to the school. Would you consider helping me? I need to raise a total of $2900 by the end of December - so it's game on!!!!!

Any amount - little or much- will be much appreciated. It is all very valuable to me! Anything given shall be put towards my tuition fees, accommodation and travel costs and other course related costs which I am discovering (such as purchasing rights to music).
