We are waiting on a NZ therapy dog that to help Lucus be himself again without being to scared to let the real him shine.
Northland
I am Lucus I’m a 9 year old boy who loves animals (but not bugs and chickens). I was diagnosed at the age of 6 with Autism and ADHD - they are my super powers, but I have anxiety too and that is my week-ness. I live in northland with my mum, step dad and my 2 brothers with my pets.
I look like your average kid when you meet me, on a good day, I just won’t make eye contact, but behind that mask I am kid who sees the world in a different way and that scares me, somedays it scares me so much I can’t face the world outside my house. My super-powers make me unique but my week-ness causes me to have very low confidence and self-esteem this effects me loads everyday.
I would love if you can help me get my very own therapy dog that can be with me when I need it the most and help me to gain some control of my anxiety so it doesn’t take over my superpowers completely. I have been waiting over a year to be able to get my dog and I am super excited because my dog is in training just now, we just need to pay for the dog and once training is complete I get to have the dog home.
Any extra money raised onto of the initial cost for the dog will go to ongoing costs for the life of the dog.
Lucus is my oldest son
Money raised will do to paying NZ therapy Dogs for the fee for dog and then any extra will be used for upkeep of dog or fixing fence ect
Visit 7 September 2021
As soon as we are out of Lockdown and able to travel we will be taking Lucus down to meet the current dogs in training so he can be matched with his dog :D :D :D we are so excited to meet his dog and see how him and the dog react to each other.
Thanks loads Vicki. Good luck on ur journey too.
