I have been selected in the New Zealand U21 Rowing Team. I will race in a double, quad and eight.

These last two years have been really important for me. Since leaving school I’ve had to step up and show some independence with my rowing . I moved to Blenheim in the hope of making it in to Regional Performance Centre (RPC) but was met with failure.
After that I spent a lot of time training on my own, along with the help of my coach Mark James, with the goal of making the U21 New Zealand Rowing Team. I had a very successful National Champs under the Wairau Rowing Club and I’m wanting to hopefully continue that success with U21 Team.
I will compete in a trans- Tasman series between New Zealand and Australia. I will travel to Sydney, Australia where I will races against Aussies over three days. 2 months later I'll do the same at Lake Karapiro, Cambridge.
The unfortunate part is that this trip is not funded and costs up to $3000 in fees which will cover flights, accomadation, catering and uniform. I am currently doing the best I can to raise enough money myself. I work a labourer at a building site during the day when I'm not rowing.
Any sort of support I will be extremely grateful for. Thank for taking the time to read this. I want to make my family & friends proud, and I will do my best to earn the silver fern.
The funds that are raised will be used to pay the $3000 fee required for competition and training.
