NZ International Biology Olympiad

$138 of $20,000 goal
Given by 8 generous donors in 9 weeks

NZ International Biology Olympiad team members must raise $5000 each to represent NZ at the international competition in Vietnam.

Nationwide

Our four talented secondary school students have competed to gain a place against 300 other hopeful talented students. These top four students; Nikita Lyons, Nico van Wijk, Max Langenkamp and Connor Leadley take on the challenge to study and excel in biological sciences such that they can compete in practical and theory exams and bring home medals for NZ - just as the ten teams before them competing for NZ have done so

Kia ora, I am Pru Casey, Head of Biological Sciences at Otago Boys' High School, Dunedin. Tutor and juror, I will travel with this team of talented students to Vietnam. I have just spent ten days in Auckland at the National training camp with 18 talented hopeful students, training in labs and in the field. From this group our top four were chosen. I am privileged to work with our nation's brightest and hardest working students

About us

The International Biology Olympiad is a chance for our very brightest secondary school students to pit their brains against the world's best. This year Nikita Lyons, Nico van Wijk, Max Langenkamp and Connor Leadley will travel to Hanoi, Vietnam to compete on the international stage for medals for their country. Each student will need close to $5,000 to cover costs. These very bright and hard working students need your financial assistance
