Get Niamh O'Sullivan, the New Zealand Rose of Tralee to Ireland!

I am very proud to be representing New Zealand in the International Rose of Tralee, which is one of Ireland's largest and longest running festivals, celebrating 58 years this year. The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to County Kerry, Ireland for a global celebration of Irish culture.

The contest is about celebrating modern women of Irish descent and is judged based on personality, charisma and role model potential.

While this is an amazing opportunity and I am very excited to be representing Taranaki and New Zealand, it is also a very demanding and costly experience. To get me to Ireland for the 10 day festival I have to raise money to give to both the Rose of Tralee festival itself and also for such things as insurance etc for travel and extra travel and accommodation expenses not covered by the Rose of Tralee organisers.

I am really hoping that all those who have been following and supporting me both at home in Clonakilty and New Zealand will give me a helping hand financially or might be able to support through sponsorship. I hate this part of the process but any contribution to getting me to Ireland would be very much appreciated. The Rose of Tralee has a big media following of 60,000 Facebook followers and 10,000 followers on Instagram and is widely supported.
