Help get the New Zealand Youth Delegation to COP22!

The New Zealand Youth Delegation is sending a crack team of nine young campaigners to COP22 in Marrakech, Morocco. Held from November 7th-19th, it will be the first Conference of the Parties after the Paris Agreement was decided at the end of last year.

COP22 in Marrakech is the climate's next big moment. It's been dubbed the "COP of action", and it's when we'll see whether world leaders are going to walk the talk of Paris. We know for sure that they won't do what's needed without being pushed in the right direction by people like you and me. That’s why we need your support to help us demand a just, safe and liveable future for all.

NZYD's objectives include:

- Collaborating with other youth around the world, and building the movement for global climate change solutions.

- Relaying developments at climate conferences back to Kiwis.

- Ensuring the voices of youth and future generations are heard, as it is they who will have to live with the consequences of today's decisions.

NZYD is an independent volunteer-run organisation and relies heavily on the generosity of donors like you. All funds raised will help offset the cost of flights and accommodation while in Morocco.

Our expected costs for each of our nine youth delegates to attend COP22 are as follows:

Return flights to Marrakech: $3,000

Local travel and transfer costs to and from airports: $250

Accommodation and living costs $85/day x 20 days: $1,700

Travel insurance: $120

TOTAL: $5,070
