Help to feed, teach and care for impoverished children and families in Kolkata's slums in India.
Nationwide
Open Home Foundation International (OHFI) supports five tuition centres that provide food, safety and education for children in impoverished communities in Kolkata. The money OHFI is able to raise goes towards the centres operational costs, including paying the teacher’s salaries, providing one meal a day for the children (often their only meal of the day), teaching resources, power and rent for the spaces.
Unfortunately, we are short of donations this financial year and do not have enough money to keep the five centres running. One centre costs $12,500 NZD annually to operate and supports around 50 children each. Having seen the centres ourselves in Feb 2023 and importance that they bring to the Kolkata communities, we are asking you for your help.
Please help us raise the money to support the centres, so they can keep providing a safe haven for our children.
