Oliver's year 9 class trip to Rarotonga.
Northland
This year, Oliver's school camp is in the Islands. Their year 9 class will fly to Rarotonga and spend two weeks learning about it's people, culture, and systems.
The purpose of the trip is educational. The students will attend school each day but will also visit many places on the island and listen to guest speakers. They will be working on a sustainability project with students from Titikaveka College. They will look at what impact our modern way of life has on the environment. They will be looking at water, land and consumables, and investigating ways we can make a difference. They will use this information and apply it to the New Zealand situation in Year 10.
Oliver is particularly excited about the glass bottomed boat and the presentation by the Marine Biologist as he's considering this line as a career.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
I'm his mom. He is raising money from his American relatives for his school camp to Rarotonga.
The money will be used for the cost of the trip and for his spending money while there.
Thank you so much <3
