Sending Olivia Leach to Outward Bound to test her limits, reach her potential and enter a life with endless possibility.

Wellington

Kia ora, my name is Olivia Leach,

I am a twenty-five year old Early Childhood Teacher, working at Little Wonders Childcare & living with friends in Wellington.

Over the past six years I have dedicated myself to providing high quality care and education for children. Creating close relationships with children between the ages of 0-5 and their whanau to give them the best start at life. I worked and studied for three years to do so, and spend the last three years working and completing my NZ teacher registration. The past six months have provided a variety of opportunities for me to extend on my leadership skills, resulting in me becoming acting team leader, leading educators in my workplace before I head on my Outward Bound journey.

I am a firm believer and supporter of holistic health and happiness. I love and enjoy physical movement, encourage a healthy lifestyle and support getting out of your comfort zone to challenge yourself emotionally, mentally and physically. Aside from this, I love spending time with my family and my gorgeous niece and nephews.

This year I have to decided to walk the talk, be courageous, be vulnerable and really get out of my comfort zone. Leading me to enter an Outward Bound Course. I believe this course will push me to my limits and allow me to discover my full potential physically, mentally and emotionally.

I am fundraising over the next three months to raise the $4,100 course fee and am seeking any possible funding support to make my Outward Bound goals a reality this coming November.

The course I have enrolled in is a 21 day 'Classic' course. Located in Anikiwa, a twenty five minute drive from Picton, top of the South Island. It is designed for people aged between 18-26 to consider their personal values, work out what's important in life and leave with 'a better understanding of yourself and your relationship to the wider world' through adventure, reflection and pushing yourself to the limit.

I have enrolled in this particular course as it would allow me to reflect, discover and focus on my life long goals, aspirations and what I want out of life. I have personally struggled with anxiety, body image and self worth as a young woman and although I have come a very long way, this course would make me a stronger person to overcome any remaining challenges in this area. To then be able to live an extraordinary life, with no hesitation and to then encourage and empower others to do the same.

Each day I will complete once-in-a-lifetime activities which push me to my limits physically, mentally and emotionally. Enabling me to come away 21 days later a more confident, capable, strong, empowered person with unlimited potential.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate all the support!
