Helping Mathilde get to Mexico in 2027 to take part in important research with Operation Wallacea.
Titirangi, Auckland
In 2027 I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Mexico with Operation Wallacea along with a group of school peers. This programs brings together students and real scientists to do important conservation work and research. Over the two weeks I am there I'll be working both marine and terrestrial projects, learning field skills, and helping to protect the endangered ecosystems.
This trip is a chance for me to grow my knowledge of Biology and contribute to global science. Working my way towards a future that involves science. Opportunities like this don't come often so I'm glad to be selected.
To make this trip possible for me I need to raise funds to cover the costs of travel, accommodation and research fees as well as giving back to Operation Wallacea insuring that they can continue funding their research for years into the future.
The overall goal amount of money to reach is $8,000 this will also be raised through community and school based fundraising as well as my own work. Any money donated would be appreciated towards this worthy life experience.

The money will be spent on:
- Travel costs (flights, vans)
- Programme fees (accommodation, food, equipment)
- Research contribution ( supporting the conservation projects and the scientists working with us)
- Training (guides, field training)
