Oskar the (Nearly) Blind Adventurer Needs Surgery to Keep Exploring
This brave little pup needs surgery to continue exploring—any help toward Oskar’s recovery is deeply appreciated.

Oskar is a 7 year old Toy Poodle cross who loves going on adventures with his human and friends. He doesn't let his vision deterioration slow him down! But unfortunately, he lost a battle with a bed and ruptured his cranial cruciate ligament. He is currently on crate rest until he is able to have surgery. The surgeon is also concerned that Oskar's other back leg may need the same operation, however, we won't know until the day of the surgery. Depending on this, the surgery will cost between $5,400 and $8,800. Please help us get him back out exploring where he is happiest.
Use of funds
All funds will go toward his surgery which is going to cost between $5,400 and $8,800 (depending on whether the other leg needs to be operated on as well). Additional costs include post-op x-rays which range between $550 and $700.

Oskar's surgery went well! 12 May 2025
Thank you so much for your support! Oskar is doing well after the surgery and will be home tomorrow. Thankfully he only ended up needing surgery on one leg, although the damage in that knee was worse than they initially thought so it needed some extra work.
