Help Oskar achieve his goal by representing New Zealand at the World Youth Rock Climbing Championships in Arco, Italy 2019.
Wellington
Oskar is 13 years old (nearly 14) and has been invited to compete in the World Youth Rock Climbing Championships in Arco, Italy in August 2019. Oskar has been climbing for 3 years, the first 2 years winning Gold or Silver at the National Championships and collecting Gold in all competitions in 2018 (5 in total) collecting both trophies for Bouldering and Lead Climbing. He also surprised us by taking out one Bouldering competition in the U18 male category. Oskar is extremely passionate about his sport, travelling from the Kapiti Coast to Lower Hutt several times a week for training and into Kilbirnie for 'strength training' where he trains with the Talent Squad.
Oskar needs to raise close to $6,000 to enable his passion to put New Zealand on the map in this newly recognised Olympic sport.
My son Oskar has been selected to enter the World Youth Rock Climbing Championships in Arco Italy next year and I want to help him fund raise to enable him to represent New Zealand in this new Olympic sport.
Flights, accommodation and Passport application, any additional equipment needs.
Thank you so much for the support, it helps a lot. I'm over halfway towards reaching my goal now
Thank you Dan for your generosity!! Oskar's father (Thomas) knew your father well and actually lived with him for 1.5 years in Titahi Bay, and worked with him on adventure trips. He remembers you as a young lad of about 12 years of age. Small world Dan!! Thank you. Oskar is a very passionate climber.
