Join us and help Otago Samoan Students’ Association (OSSA) journey to So’otaga!
Dunedin, Otago
We are the Otago Samoan Students’ Association (OSSA), a student-led, not-for-profit group based at the University of Otago, Dunedin. Our mission is to support Samoan students culturally, academically, and socially. We’re raising funds to take 40 members to So’otaga 2025, an annual conference that empowers young Samoan leaders through cultural connection, workshops, and community building. Many of us are first-generation university students, and this opportunity will help us grow in leadership, identity, and service.
Funds raised will go toward flights, accommodation, transport, and OSSA merchandise to ensure all members can participate. We’ve already begun fundraising and outreach, and this campaign is part of our next big step. We’ll stay connected with our crowd, aiga, friends, churches, and supporters, through social media, church visits, emails, and personal networks. In return, we’re offering thank-you messages, small cultural gifts, and invites to a fiafia night event to share what your support helped make possible.
By supporting us, you’re investing in Pasifika youth, cultural identity, and future community leaders. Fa’afetai tele lava, thank you for being part of our journey.
Funds will go towards flights, accommodation, transport, merchandise and other essentials for the group.
