Help keep Otatara's Community Swimming Pool open
Otatara, Southland
Our school pool is a valued asset that is utilised on a daily basis during the open season (October to April) by a wide range of the community. The pool is utilised by all age groups from babies through to our elderly community.
A refurbishmnent of the pool is now required to ensure the safe and effective use of the facility for future years. The work required includes reconstructing the pool edging and replacing the pool floor surface which is in poor condition.
We need your help!
We have been extremely fortunate to secure community funding from the Lotteries Grants Board and Community South but we still need a further $25,000 to complete the project.
Otatara Primary School is in a semi-rural area of Southland situated 8 kms west of Invercargill. With a roll of around 300 the school endeavours to provide a safe, caring, inclusive & stimulating learning environment where all learners achieve success.
New concrete precast edging and application of fibreglass coating to the pool surface.
