Donate to help us ensure these ten baby rabbits get the veterinary care they need!
Canterbury
Despite Ōtautahi Rabbit Rehoming being absolutely full, we were contacted about a Mama bunny and her ten babies who desperately needed our help!
This accidental litter is doing well, but we need funds to ensure they are all vaccinated, desexed, and rehomed to awesome forever homes!
We are trying to raise some initial funds to help get these babies the vet care they need. Each rabbit will be vaccinated and desexed, procedures which will cost at least $200 per bunny.
Ōtautahi Rabbit Rehoming is committed to desexing all the rabbits that come into our care to stop the cycle of unwanted litters. Many rabbits are kept in inappropriate conditions and we want to educate the public about the specific needs of companion rabbits, which includes desexing to prevent behavioural problems, avoidable illnesses, and contributing to the large number of unwanted rabbits through backyard breeding and accidental pregnancy.
These babies will also require vaccination to protect them against calicivirus, a highly contagious rabbit virus which causes a painful death.
Please consider giving a donation to help these ten babies! You can see updates on our Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/otautahirabbitrehoming/
I am the founder of Ōtautahi Rabbit Rehoming, a volunteer-run rabbit rescue aiming to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the abandoned and unwanted rabbits of Ōtautahi Christchurch.
All funds raised through Givealittle will go towards vet costs for desexing and vaccinations.
