Our 42

42km, 42 days, 42 minutes…our team is taking on 42 to raise funds for rangatahi.

Christchurch, Canterbury

Five runners, Aaron Webb, Shane Thrower, Kieran Read, Ryan Crotty and Colin Slade, are taking on the New York City Marathon to raise $120,000 for Te Tahi Youth and help complete the fit-out of our new service delivery site at Eastgate.

We wanted to get behind them.

So while they take on 42.2km, our team at Te Tahi is taking on our own version of 42.

42km. 42 minutes. 42 days. 42,000 steps. 42 new things. Everyone is choosing their own challenge and raising money for Te Tahi along the way.

We’re always telling rangatahi that we’re with them every step of the way. Now we want to show our runners the same thing.

The runners are helping us complete the space. Our 42 is helping us deliver the services that happen inside it.

Te Tahi provides free health, mental health, counselling, sexual health, youth development, social and employment support to rangatahi aged 10–24 across Ōtautahi. Last year, we delivered more than 3,500 medical appointments and 3,400 Youth Health in Schools appointments, with more than half of our medical appointments involving mental health support.

Help us make our 42 count.

Donate to support our challenge, or take on your own version of 42 and start a fundraiser to help Te Tahi keep showing up for rangatahi.
