Our beloved family dog Simba needs cancer treatment

Simba is a vibrant, energetic & playful puppy (< 2 years boy). In February 2023, Simba fell ill, and his condition worsened despite 3 weeks of treatment at the Vet GP. Due to Simba’s deteriorating condition, he was referred to a Vet Specialist and admitted to the VSA Hospital on March 14th.

Unfortunately, Simba was diagnosed with Lymphoma, an uncommon cancer in young dogs. He was given only a few hours or days to live. We were devastated and shattered. We were given 2 options: to initiate Chemo treatment ASAP or to take Simba home for a day and return to euthanize him, sparing him from further suffering.

We were unprepared for such a dire situation and could not bear the thought of losing Simba. Our family resolved to do everything possible to save Simba. We started the Chemo treatment on March 16th. Luckily, Simba responded positively after the first session and his transformation was remarkable.

Simba is bravely fighting his battle with cancer. Simba has been undergoing Chemo, and his response has been very encouraging and hopeful of achieving remission.

The total cost of Simba's treatment is approx. $ 16000. Our insurance cover is limited to only $1500 due to basic plan. So far, we have spent $ 9000 on Simba's bills, diagnosis & treatment.
