Levi Mcilroy - our Loving courageous boy xx
Wellington
On Thursday afternoon, 26.03.26, Levi suffered a sudden and life-threatening event,
Levi's fight continues in intensive care, where he's currently on life support due to his body shutting down and irreversible brain damage, making his injuries unsurvivable. Despite this, we hold onto hope that he'll have the chance to give the gift of life to others through organ donation.
Levi was a light in every room he walked into — a courageous, loving, and kind young boy who touched the lives of everyone he met. He had the biggest heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone, even a stranger.
Levi leaves behind his devoted mum and dad, his four siblings, a large and loving extended family, and an incredible circle of friends who adored him deeply.
Tomorrow, we'll gather to shower him with love and say our final goodbyes
With the immense love surrounding Levi, we are coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. The costs ahead are significant, and any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease some of the financial burden they are facing.
Levi’s mum and dad are the most kind, caring, and selfless people — qualities they have clearly passed on to their beautiful boy. Now, we hope to return that same generosity and support to them in their time of need.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.

Forever 19 xx 30 March 2026
As parents, we're embracing the profound courage that lies beyond heartbreak, navigating a complex landscape of sorrow and unyielding pride. With heavy hearts, we're sharing the news that our cherished Levi medically left this world at 1 pm on 29.03.26, embraced in our unconditional love.
Yet, amidst unimaginable loss, we're finding profound comfort in Levi's selfless gift to donate his organs—a testament to his extraordinary spirit.
Following numerous medical evaluations, we've confirmed that his generous donation will spark new life in others.
His heart, overflowing with love, will beat vibrantly in someone's chest,
while his liver will find a new home in Australia, inspiring hope.
Two individuals will welcome his kidneys,
his lungs will bring vitality to one in need,
and his eyes will restore sight to two people, potentially touching many more lives, as eye tissue can be preserved for up to four weeks.
Tomorrow at 6 am, surgical teams will fly into Wellington for organ retrieval.
after our final tender goodbyes, Levi will embark on his journey to gift life to others, surgery estimated to take around six hours. Though it's little solace, knowing his enduring legacy will flourish through others fills us with strength, pride, and gratitude. We couldn't be more proud
