Billy's Recovery after a motorcycle accident

    Hi Everyone,

    I hope you are all going ok given the unusual circumstances!

    We have amazing news to share – Billy is home!!! After the lockdown levels were lifted slightly we got to bring Billy home for the rest of his recovery. I cant even begin to explain how happy we are!!!!! 👏😄🥳

    Billy is getting better and better, he is working hard to regain his strength, body movement and stimulate his brain. From where we were only a few months ago to where we are today is nothing short of mind blowing in my opinion.

    An EPIC THANK YOU to you all! Thank you for your comforting words, positive thoughts, healing prayers and magic, we really do believe this helped bring Billy back to us! I don’t know how we would have coped without all of your amazing support!! We feel so lucky!!!

  • Progress Update

    Hi Everyone, I hope you are all staying safe and well during these challenging times! We wanted to let you know that Billy moved from Wellington hospital to the Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation centre on Tuesday this week. This is a massive step in the right direction! We are working towards getting the feeding tube removed and lots more physical physiotherapy. It is extremely motivating to see more of the brother we know coming back to us. This I feel is in part a direct result of Mum and Dad remaining by Billys side constantly helping him literally piece his mind back together and remember who he is. Thank you mum and dad for everything you are doing and thank you to everyone for continuing to give us strength and positive reinforcement as we continue this marathon to bring Billy home! 💕♥️💖

  • Progress update 👍🏼

    Really great news to share with you all - Billy is kicking milestones and showing us all his incredible determination and strength. We have seen massive progress in the last three days - he is out of ICU, the tracheotomy has been removed, he has spoken to us and has even tried to get up!!!

    No doubt the next stage of rehabilitation and recovery will have its challenges but right now we are celebrating where we are at today!

    We cannot put into words just how much of a positive impact all your comments, love, generosity, positive thoughts and prayers have had on our family over this last month. You have given us hope, helped us keep going and made sure we never stopped believing in Billy!

    We will let you all know when we move to the next stage of recovery. THANK YOU!!!💕💕💕☮️
