Our Dad - Longinusi Veamatahau (Henry)

Dad was born 9th November 1957 in the Kingdom of Tonga and migrated to Aoteraoa NZ in 1976 to further his studies.

He met our Mother in 1978 and they settled in Glen Innes, Auckland. In 1996 Dad and the rest of us kids migrated to Sydney Australia where he watched his family grow and the grandchildren followed. Weekends were filled with watching the grandchildren play rugby league, connecting with extended family and eventually having his faith in the Lord Jesus renewed, and refreshed.

Sadly, our Mother passed away in 2013 in Melbourne. He re-married again and migrated back to New Zealand where he was ordained as a Pastor for Good Shepherd Church and continued on encouraging family members and friends to strengthen their christian faith.

Dad was a people person, outgoing, friendly, approachable and dependable. He had a strong work ethic which is instilled on all his 7 children. On Monday 15th April at 8pm he passed away suddenly from a heart attack. He leaves us 7 children, 23 grandchildren and his loving wife Liu.
